THE THOUGHTS OF ONE MAN
TRYING TO AWAKEN
WHILE HELPING OTHERS TO AWAKEN
BY ASKING THIS QUESTION:
"WHAT IS YOUR SOUL TRYING TO TELL YOU?"

Using Psalms to Open the Chakras
Jewish texts, particularly the Torah, can be viewed through various lenses. The Hebrew word pardes, pronounced PAR-DAYS, which means orchard, is an acronym for P-SHAT, RE-MEZ, D-RASH, and SOD, the four primary lenses through which a text can be viewed. P-SHAT refers to the lens through which ones sees the clear meaning, RE-MEZ to the lens through which one sees the symbolic meaning, D-RASH to the lens through which one sees the comparative meaning (derived by comparing the text to others), and SOD to the lens through which one sees the mystical meaning.

The Book of Psalms, SAY-FER  T-HEE-LEEM, is filled with secrets, hidden secrets. Through the lens of SOD, however, some of the concealed can be revealed. Take, for example, Psalm 24:7-10:

O gates, lift up your heads! Up high, you everlasting doors, so the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory?—the Lord, mighty and valiant, the Lord, valiant in battle. O gates, lift up your heads! Lift them up, you everlasting doors, so the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory?—the Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory! Selah.

“Gates” or “doors” are points of energy within the individual soul, which correspond directly to concentrations of energy in and around the human body. Known in Buddhism and Hinduism as chakras, they are often referred to as gates or doors. Opening them, particularly the Third Eye Chakra, located between the eyebrows, facilitates the flow of energy and the expansion of consciousness, which is brought on by the expansion of the Divine within, that is, the Drop of Light within. The “King of glory” is that Drop of Divine light, aware of the Ocean of Light from which it came and the right course of action to take even in the most difficult of circumstances such as a battle.

Let’s take a closer look at Psalm 24:7, which reads:

O gates, lift up your heads! Up high, you everlasting doors, so the King of glory may come in!

The Hebrew version contains nine words, corresponding to the nine chakras, though some say less, some say more: The Root Chakra (Muladhara), the Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana), the Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura), the Heart Chakra (Anahata), the Throat Chakra (Visudha), the Third Eye Chakra (Ajna), the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara), the Soul Chakra (Vyapini), and the Spirit Chakra (Vyomanga). Reading from left to right, the Hebrew, even the first two words, can function as a powerful mantra to ease open the chakras.

SU (Lift up)  SH-A-REEM (O gates)  RA-SHAY-CHEM (your heads)!

V-HEE-NA-S-U (Up high)  PEET-CHAY  O-LAM (you everlasting doors so)

V-YE-VO (may come in)  ME-LECH (the King)  HA-CA-VOD (of Glory)!

    1. Thank you for your words! For how long have you been a follower of Dr. Pillai? Chanting each word of this nine-word mantra can open / further open each of your nine chakras.

Chant SU (Lift up) while focusing on your Root Chakra / Muladhara (located at the base of the spine between the anus and scrotum / vagina) and see the red color of this chakra; chant SH-A-REEM (O gates) while focusing on your Sacral Chakra / Svadhisthana (located below the navel) and see the orange color of this chakra; chant RA-SHAY-CHEM (your heads) while focusing on your Solar Plexus Chakra / Manipura (located below the chest cavity) and see the yellow color of this chakra; chant V-HEE-NA-S-U (Up high) while focusing on your Heart Chakra / Anahata (located at the center of the chest) and see the green color of this chakra; chant PEET- CHAY (doors so) while focusing on your Throat Chakra / Visudha (located at the base of the throat) and see the sky blue color of this chakra; chant O-LAM (you everlasting) while focusing on your Third Eye Chakra /Ajna (located at the middle of the forehead) and see the purple color of this chakra; chant V-YE-VO (may come in) while focusing on your Crown Chakra / Sahasrara (located at the very top of the head) and see the violet and white color of this chakra; chant ME-LECH (the King) while focusing on your Soul Chakra / Vyapini (located a few inches above the top of the head) and see the gold color of this chakra; and chant HA-CA-VOD (of Glory) while focusing on your Spirit Chakra / Vyomanga (located at the heart of the Universe) and see the translucent white color of this chakra.

Please let me know of your experience.

      Stay blessed and be well.

  3. Namaskar !! (Greetings in Hindi)

Thank you for the valuable time you have given me to reply me. i have been following Dr. Pillai since 6 months.

i have certain more queries that the chants that you use here for the different chakras is different from what i have learnt. Is these chants in Jewish language? what i learnt is that i bow and salute each chakras example Om Mooladharaya Chakras Namah!! Lammmmmm....(Root Chakra) etc.

the color imagination concept for each is also new to me.i will practice the way you have told by imagining color too along with the chakra meditation and let you know my experience.

my Heartfelt Regards to you. Seeking your blessings always.

    Namaskar!!

    Yours Sincerely

  4. You are welcome!

The word or words to be chanted as you focus on a particular chakra or gate are Hebrew.

I find your practice of bowing and saluting each chakra very beautiful.

The number of chakras and the colors associated with them vary from authority to authority.

To open the chakras, employ the ritual action(s) (chanting particular words or visualizing particular colors) that speak to you, work for you.

    Stay blessed and be well.
